Greene County TEA Party now operational

On Thursday, February 27, 2014, the Greene County TEA Party Organizing Committee completed its work by electing the officers for the group. With this action, the Beavercreek Liberty Group has been formally disbanded.

Reminder: Special Tues. meeting with Greene County Sheriff Gene Fischer

Greene County Sheriff Gene Fischer will be the guest speaker at a special meeting of the Greene County TEA Party, the Beavercreek Liberty Group, and the Fairborn Liberty Group. Sherriff Fischer will address and answer your questions related to our 2nd Amendment Rights, concealed carriage, proper weapon transport, home self-defense, etc. Sheriff Fischer will also provide an update on the operations of the County Sherriff Office including discussions underway to make the Sherriff an appointed rather than an elected official.

Please join us on Tues., Nov 19, 7 PM at the Community Room, lower level of the Beavercreek Fire Station 61, 2195 Dayton-Xenia Road at the corner of  N. Orchard Lane off Route 35. Parking is on the west wide of the station. The entry to the Community Room is down the outside stairs. To enter at the same level and avoid the stairs, park at the rear of the station near the sidewalk.

Donations will be accepted to help with the operations of the Greene County TEA Party.

Note: Please bring a lawn chair in your car as we may need the extra seating. Don’t bring it in unless there is someone to tell you to bring it.

  • Beavercreek school board candidates forum; Tuesday, Oct. 29, 7 PM Peace Lutheran Church, 3530 Dayton-Xenia Rd., across from the Beavercreek Post Office. Attendees, please arrive by 6:45 PM.; volunteers by 6:15 PM. Bring pen or pencil for writing questions and taking notes. In addition to all candidates, a current member of the school board will speak about the school operating levy issue and the recent contract with the two unions. I still need a couple of volunteers to help with the forum—nothing hard to do.

Governor Kasich using Medicaid Expansion to bring socialized health care to Ohio

Governor Kasich has swung hard left politically. After failing to gain support in the Republican-controlled Ohio House and Senate for his budget proposal to adopt Medicaid Expansion, he has put this proposal before the Ohio Controlling Board for adoption. Remember how the U.S. Senate, failing in 2009 to have the 60 votes needed for cloture on Obamacare, changed the rules to get passage. Now we are stuck with this monster of a health care law. Kasich is now doing the same legal maneuvering to get his Medicaid Expansion approved—circumventing the will of the elected Ohio state representatives to gain approval for this new monster of socialized health care. Yes, socialized health care; Obama’s goal for our health care. Kasich and Obama are now “tight” on socialized health care. Continue reading
